INTRODUCING A NEW WAY TO SEE EAST VILLAGE IN LONG BEACH!
The East Village is home to several of the earliest “own-your-own” residential high-rises catering to elegant resort living that were built in Long Beach after World War I and the discovery of oil in the region. Did you know the Miss Universe contest took place for several years at the historic Lafayette Complex in the heart of the East Village? Victorian cottages from as early as 1905 nestle between stunning Art Deco and Italian Renaissance commercial buildings. Today’s East Village residents enjoy charming boutiques, restaurants, and cafes on streets lined with spectacular art and architecture.

Schedule: 2nd Saturday of every month 
Start time:  9:30 am
Where: Begins at corner of Ocean Blvd. and Linden Ave in front of Modica’s Deli. Walkers will travel between Ocean Blvd and 4th St and Atlantic Avenue and Elm Avenue.
Parking: Metered Parking Available
Length: 2 hours
Distance covered: About 1-1/2 miles total walking
Walking difficulty: Moderate
